Fun and entertaining

I enjoyed the small town cozy atmosphere if the story. I will definitely be following the series to see what other mysteries pop up in Blue Moon Bay.

The mundane stuff and they’re like oh it’s witches. This just seems like a baker who’s being taunted by her high school bullies I’m bored.

This was ridiculous in the best of ways.

It was like a classic Halloween hallmark kind of movie, and I really enjoyed it. Only gave it three stars because it felt like some of it was incredibly rushed and certain parts of the story felt like they were just put in for the sake of it - like the way it ended with her boyfriend was so disappointing because it was rushed!

I got this book via 'Stuff My Kindle' & I would not recommend it to anyone. It was completely inane & an utter waste of time IMO. I wish I had never seen this beautiful cover art and fell for it.

Not ONCE did I guess where this book was going.

I obtained a copy of this story during Stuff Your Kindle Day 2024. That was nearly a year ago, so I read it without any knowledge of the plot. I was expecting a cozy romance based on the first few chapters, and I felt like I got run over by the MC's talking car Trixie when her former high school bully went missing on her own wedding day.

My experience continuing the novel was similar to riding Joseph Brown's The Zipper amusement park ride. A missing person, barrels, bobcats, house flies, ankle tattoos, a fake British accent, dream cookies, a new definition of a beige mom, a lizard tongue, Silicon Valley, and a guy who takes "good boy" a little too far all blend together underneath the true story of three "frenemies" reuniting to remove the "enemies" part of their relationship.

Was this an expertly crafted novel? Absolutely not.

However, I had so much fun reading this and guessing who the culprit was. A lot of murder mysteries can get gory and too serious, so this was a nice change of pace.
