Tessa Dare is an icon, and I love her books, even if they have a pretty predicable storyline (I can almost always pinpoint when the drama will happen and what the nature of that drama will be).

This was book #55 for Romanceopoly 2020.

Pack: Sun
Square: The Office
Challenge: Read a non-contemporary romance where the couple meet at their place of work

It was really cute. I was dying of laughter every time poor Millicent died and Chase’s eulogies at her funeral.

It was not as good as the first one, but I had a really great time with the girls, Alex and Chase. The frequent back-and-forth did become a bit tiresome, but overall, it was worth it.

I need more protective Ash content, please.

I did not care for the MMC and it was a little boring.

I got absolutely sucked into this one. This one had a lot more heart than the first one for more than a few reasons, but I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s better. They’re both equally amazing and I can’t wait to go get the third one.
