Stalker. Religion. Hatred. Death.
Briony is a girl just becoming an adult, with an aim to be the highest ranking member of her church, the bishop. Never been done before by a woman, the elders and those in power around her (men), seek to destroy bother her chances and her from gaining the power, prestige and honor. Aero is a decade older than Briony and has plans of his own for their town and her - mar with ruin and take them both down in flames. He aims to expose the church and those in power in glorious fashion all the while stalking and letting his overtaking urge to claim Briony as his overcome him. These two have a connected deadly past that could only lead to their destruction, right?
4.0/5.0 🌶️ I am dark and depraved. I enjoyed the extreme Dom/Sub relationship, the BDSM to higher than ‘normal’ proportions, the sick and twisted fantasies played out - my cup of tea. There were moments of their torrid loved affair that had me reading and rereading as I found it well written and deeply fucked up in the best way. If you are a reader that prefers more toned down, less toxic, not a hint of abuse in their smut - move along, this isn’t for you. I read the reviews and for one am as twisted in the head to enjoy this.
8/10 - I would recommend for deeply disturbed individuals looking for things to be darker. The portrail of pain, violence, abuse, toxic relationships, stalking, mind games etc., was written well and all followed an easily trackable timeline. The author should be quite proud of the work she created. This book is one where she will receive a LOT of hate and negative reviews, but those readers are ‘vanilla’ and cannot picture a world where the unfortunate things happen and could potentially happen in exquisite grandure to one or two people over and over again.
Only reason I didn’t give this book a higher ranking, is while I enjoyed the anger and bad history Aero has, he could have expressed a deeper relationship as to why specifically he had to choose Briony. I know it was stated (will not spoil), but with how detailed the rest of thw story is, this fell short.

🩸💀⛓️Nicknames: Churchgirl, Little Doll
That Sik Luv follows Briony, a young woman raised in the church who aspires to be a leading figure within. The men around her however, will do anything in their power to prevent a woman from rising to the top, even if that means committing a few sins. After all, God forgives those who seek his mercy. Little does Briony know, she has a stalker who is all too willing to show Briony the darkness that hides behind religion, and that is secretly within her. A darkness that will either destroy her, or burn down the world around her. Originally assigned to kill her, Aero Westwood simply could not stop himself from delving into the utter obsession Briony would soon become for him, his favourite little doll. Taming the beast within Briony, whether through a physical means or twisted mentality, Aero shredded apart the fake visual of the church she had led the life believing; the same church that prays on the youth using the testaments of God to manipulate their students for their own sick, twisted accord. He brought to light the cruel intentions the church held and their aim to rid of Briony- a woman who stood in their way of denominating society with their fake use of faith, wanting her to see beyond the fake facade they had presented her and every other pupil at the academy. Saint, who was Aero’s half-brother lived a life of luxury and sheltered upbringing whilst his brother had scars inching across his body, a mother who had been abandoned and a strong hatred to the so called faith they all flaunted. Briony, had lived a life constructed upon countless lies: her age being 18 and not 20, Baret who was not really her brother and the church never wanted a woman such as her in any form of status of power. Aero had always been watching Briony- waiting for her to bloom and act on the fire raging within her. Though his methods may have appeared entirely immoral and unethical, he had been preparing Briony for the moment that would come in the end, the harsh realisation and self defense she would need. This book was visibly dark, from Aero’s psychotic tendencies, to the church exploiting young children in the name of Christ, to the unhinged, gut-wrenching graphic imagery, I thoroughly enjoyed it. There was an instance where Areo was incapable of expressing his love towards Briony so what did he do? He bled for her. Literally. An act to show that despite being unable to display his affection due to his tainted trauma he would sacrifice himself at any given moment for Briony.
This book sort of hit home to me because of the internal religious conflict which I have also endured, making this book so much more enjoyable and somewhat relatable. Upon some parts critiquing religious structures, I felt so vividly expressed and pleased to see characters voicing out my own experiences.
My favourite quotes in this book are: (1) "No one can control me anymore, especially not a fictitious God created by despicable men designed to control the masses. I won't allow you to live in this world of deceptions when you were meant for so much more." (2) "They're lying to you, Briony. They don't want you. They never did - But I do. I want you. You're mine now, just as I am yours. - I'll kill everyone, anyone who gets in the way of letting you live." (3) “Which side will she choose when the truth is known and the entirety of her once preconceived beliefs come crashing down? Surely not the villain of her story.
I'm meant to kill her. They literally hired me to end her life. But I can't.
I won't.
Because she isn't like them. She's like me. Me, before I found my voice in this world. The world meant to control those who didn't fear an omnipresent god who's always watching, requiring perfection and fear in his subjects. (4) "I mean it, Briony. You'll need to aim better next time," he says in a taunting tone. "If you want a life that doesn't have me in it, you'll have to fucking kill me yourself. I'm yours, and you are forever mine." (5) “She's always needed me, just as I've needed her. I'm her truth. Her voice. The weapon she wields to use as needed. My protection and loyalty to her will never cease.” (6) “I'd always hoped she'd be the one I needed, that her strength, resilience, and intelligence would outweigh the toxic men attempting to warp her innocent mind. But what she's giving me back is unlike anything I'd expected. I exist only for her now. I'll fucking kill Briony if she ever tries to leave me, then end my miserable fucking life right alongside her. It's as easy as that.” (7) "You are the fire that burns stagnant, the coals and ash yearning for the chance to ignite, ready to burn cities to the ground in your fierceness.
A force more powerful than any man that came before you. You are my fucking existence, Briony. I live and breathe for you alone. I am yours eternallv. entirelv at vour mercy." (8) "Don't tell me you love me because I'lI never say it back to you. What we have together isn't definable by a word created by another man.
No combination of letters or formulated language can encompass the magnitude of our tragedies. Our pain. Our euphoria." His eyes find mine, searching deep through me as his fingers softly stroke my hair behind my ear. "Love is beneath us," he states confidently. (9) "You need me to prove my love?" I say the word like it disgusts me because it does. "Let me show you what love is."
Taking the blade of the open scissors, I slide it down the inside of my forearm, tearing through the skin. "I'll drain myself of everything that pumps through these veins just to prove it. I'd bleed out for you, Briony. I'd fucking kill anyone so you could live. I'd kill you if I needed to, just to follow you to your grave so you can know the depths to which I'd fall to show I couldn't fucking survive without you. I'd sabotage every aspect of your privileged, fake little life until you realized you're only your best self with me by your side. I'd never stop.” (10) "You, Aero, are the throat from which I've been allowed to scream. But I'm the eyes through which you'll finally realize your worth." ⛓️💀🩸

I WANT TO BE BAPTIZED.
My religious trauma went to therapy with this, I was reliving shit I had buried in the depths of my mind, I got catechism flashbacks. I honestly was obsessed with the religious plot because of its critique to it, and how it included actual excerpts from the Bible and twisted them for their own purposes and even sometimes defiled it by spicing it up. So healing ❤️
"We are like us."
The more i sit on this book the more I love it. Aero Westwood what a man! I want him to depravedly heal my religious trauma, he is so sinfully delicious and unhinged.
When he rejected gentleness but while she was asleep grabbed her hand to practice feeling her gentle and lightest of touches because she wanted for him to let her caress him, I wanted to sob.
Also filthiest epilogue ever
