I went in knowing nothing except that it was supposed to be a wild ride—and holy hell, that was an understatement. This book had me in a chokehold from the first page. Every dark, twisted, sinful second of it? I ate it up. One of the best dark romances I’ve ever read, no question. I’m actually mourning that it’s over.
This wasn’t just a story—it was a descent. A spiraling, seductive fall into obsession, control, and transformation. Briony? That girl snapped. She started as this soft, sheltered thing and ended up a savage in heels. Her arc was everything.
And Aero Westwood?? That man is a walking red flag factory and I want them all. He’s psychotic, obsessive, manipulative—and somehow still perfect. There’s no explaining it. He is the book.
Also. The audio?? Joe Arden and Desiree Ketchum? Absolutely devoured their performances. They brought every messed-up moment to life in the most unhinged, perfect way.
“We’re not like them. We’re like us.”
Yeah. That line lives in my head now. Rent-free. Forever.

As a smut connoisseur and enjoyer of over a decade, I never thought I'd find a book with TOO much sex. This one was it. I actually started skipping through them because it was a near constant barrage. What actual plot there was, was great! But there was so little of it mixed in since there was a ten page sex scene every chapter. I raced through this book not because I enjoyed it necessarily, but because I wanted to move on to something, ANYTHING different.

I've read a couple of reviews that say this is basically a rip off of Haunting Adeline, and I can certainly see the similarities but in all honesty I liked this a lot more than Haunting Adeline; even when I was having a hard time getting through the first 10 chapters or so.
I think what I wanted HA to have (erm... coherence?) this one definitely did and it made sense, at least to me.
