Fantastic!! This is one of my absolute favorite cozy mystery series. I absolutely love Lee and Pete. This edition was exciting from beginning to end. Highly recommend!!
Very kitschy! It reminds me so much of the old school Nancy Drew books I read as a kid. It's cozy to the point of blandness (with exception to the murders, of course), but that genre definitely has its place. I can imagine giving this book to a precocious kid or a very sensitive grandma in recovery from a surgery and it would go over well with both.
Always a top series for me and this one is excellent. I only have one quibble with the plot that kept me from upgrading to 5 stars and that was more about the motivation of the bad guy. Action was solid. Lee Barrett has been promoted to program director at WICH-TV and learning her new job has her off balance. On her first day she finds a woman on the park bench outside who has no idea who she is or how she got there. Lee, her aunt, their friends along with police detective boyfriend join forces to keep everyone safe and solve the mystery. All the characters are so well developed and interesting you want to keep coming back to Salem to visit with them. Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Keep them coming
I love Lee and her TV career. It's hard to imagine that by befriending "Jane Doe" that her life would be turned upside down. The killer is truly crazy in his behaviour and it's a wonder his partners didn't kill him. So many changes in Lee's life and all good. I hope Ibby and her pals become detectives,

A strong addition to a mystery filled series. A new job, new worries, new characters and murder make up this story. The author does a great job keeping the reader guessing until the end. This story was a bit different than others in the series but still a great read!
This series gets better and better. I'm glad they are finally making it official and hope to see that in the next book
I can’t believe anyone would green light a children’s show with a rodeo/circus theme in this day and age. Yikes on bikes. That thread is so out of touch. Also extremely cringey is the Charlie’s Angels thing—the three lady investigators roping an old guy into a functionally unnecessary figurehead role so they have somebody to “report to.” *weeps* Not cute.
Anyone who listens to the Fated Mates podcast will be familiar with the expression “take the finger.” (Does not refer to anything dirty.) I will say, the author absolutely takes the finger here in the climax WRT the rodeo character. So kudos for that?

I’ve been reading this series for a while, and I think this is my favorite one yet. Lee finds a woman who can’t remember who she is, and of course it’s tied to a murder in her fair city. She, her boyfriend Pete, her aunt Ibby, and a few other friends are on the case and will try to find out what’s going on, even when the path leads to real danger. This one has some really fun places, an interesting mystery, and great writing, and I loved the new twist close to the end. I’m curious to see how things change with this new development. I do wish that Pete was a little more comfortable with her scrying, but maybe eventually he’ll come around. Highly recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.
