I thought the book was alright. The writing isn't bad and I find the characters to be rather interesting. I thought the pacing was rather slow and it didn't really pick up until the last few chapters. I don't care for the relationship between Rose and Dimitri.

This is certainly one of those books that I know I would have ate up in high school, but reading it now is like reading the pilot script for a CW show, plus

Rose and Dmitri's relationship just gives me so much ick.

I reread this as an adult because I don’t remember anything from it when I read it as a teenager. The main thing I didn’t like was the relationship between Rose & Dimitri being heavily implied. But otherwise this was a quick reread!
