Okay, I'm the first to admit that I'm not a huge fan of one-half of a couple who makes the decision to end things supposedly because they believe it's what's best for the other person, but there is SO much more to what led to Sofie leaving and why it took so long for her to return. There are hints--and I had my suspicions and they did prove to be true--but I'm not going to get into all that because I think unraveling all the secrets that Sofie was keeping is part and parcel of what makes her story with Theo such a worthwhile one to read. Now, did Theo have a right to feel betrayed and terrible about Sofie leaving without much an explanation? Yes, but once he learned everything, he understood and was quite contrite about the icy reception he gave her. I loved seeing these two rekindle their love and their friendship. Trust was restored, but not easily, and there were still issues that needed to be resolved, and I was simply happy to be there for the journey because Sofie and Theo deserved their hard-fought, overdue happily-ever-after. Five stars for Someday.

Landmark Mountain series has really continued with a bang, and I'm loving it. I just know that this series is going to be excellent, as the first two books have not disappointed. My one complaint about this book is that there was the over used, and personally not my favorite trope of the male lead sleeping around while the female lead stays away from all men. Yes I understand that they were separated for 8 years, so I don't have a problem with Theo moving on with his life after Sofie left, he was single and had every right to be with whoever. What bothers me about this trope is that Sofie never moved on from Theo, like that makes her a better female lead because she waited for him. I get it, Sofie experienced a trauma that forced her to leave Landmark Mountain and Theo behind when she otherwise would not have but I still think she should have allowed herself to have a life. I don't think I would have minded the not being with anyone else thing as much if she had just been on a million first dates, always looking for Theo in the men. I mean she a.) had no idea when she would be able to come to Landmark and b.) she had no guarantee that Theo would still be single when she finally did.
