A fabulous read!! Two MC, Aiden and Cade are college students. Cade, who has hard an unbelievably hard life, works hard to keep up his grades and to pay his tuition. Aiden, a very well off student whose life has NOT been hard, falls for Cade, hard. Such a strong character driven romance. Though they are college students and the book has a new adult vibe, it definitely goes beyond that genre. Two wonderful guys, and some tough issues to work out. I loved how Aiden essentially courted Caden throughout the book. No insta love here. Just a deepening connection between the two. I liked where the author took us. When that secret was revealed in a very messy fashion, the author easily could have taken the easy way out and dragged out the conflict. No, it's addressed head and funnily enough, like adults. This is a HFN given their ages, but such a swoon-worthy story. And though there's not lots of sexy time, what's there reflects the feeling between them. A hint of some kink which I would have liked to explore a bit more but sadly, not that kind of book. But still definitely a 5 star for me....

I can always count on Kate Sherwood to fill my quota of wounded, strong but silent, emotionally stunted men and the pushy but well-intentioned extroverts who love them anyway and this book was no exception. Cade and Aiden's courtship was completely adorable; I just about melted into a puddle of goo over Aiden's overtures. (If anyone could point me towards a handsome man/mobile sushi cart, I'd be much obliged.) There aren't many quibbles I could make about the story except the fact that you could spot the ending coming a mile away. Regardless, I was very much entertained from beginning to end and I expect other readers to feel the same.
