This graphic novel re-tells Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's classic tale of how Sherlock Holmes tracked a band of criminals from an engineer's missing thumb. While it may appeal to graphic novel/mystery fans, the format and short page length do not do justice to the complexities of Doyle's original work. There is a cast of characters and portraits at the beginning to help distinguish those portrayed in the story.
