Read this in 3-4 hours. A nice light summer cozy.

Of the nine books so far in the series, I liked this one the least. It was good, but it felt repetitive. Really, she has kind of done this story, in the first book. A group of authors, and a wanna-be author writing a tell-all book. Been there, read that, in this series. It was good, and there were plot twists and differences from the other story, but it felt a little stale.

Annie usually loves attending the annual Dixie Book Festival. But this year, the five award winners are under threat -- another author is threatening to expose their secrets. When he turns up dead, there is no shortage of suspects.
I'm not sure why I keep reading this series except that I have up through #18 sitting on my shelves. These are better spaced far, far apart. Too close together and you see the repetitive beats all too easily. Annie loves grown-up Joe Hardy, she's frustrated by the triumvirate, she gets into danger, but then solves the mystery. Okay but not my favorite series.
