This one just kept me on the edge of my seat, and it creeped me out real bad. Did not see the end coming, and I was really wondering until the last second who I should feel most afraid of. Alice Feeney writes good shit.

Overall, I enjoyed this thriller. The twists definitely kept me hooked until the very end. It’s not always well written- a bit cliché at times but if you look past that the story is good if not a little disturbing. A good October read for spooky season though!

I really really thought I knew who the killer was but nope. Not even close. This book had me on my toes, from beginning to end, through every twist that kept happening.

This story is told from 3 POVs: His (Jack's), Her's, and the truth (the mysterious killer).

I reread each POV that was the killer's 3 times each to make sure my guess of the killer was probably correct. It still wasn't. Alice Feeney did an excellent job at keeping you guessing.

This book gives me weird, sex cult Heather's vibes but grown up in a mystery thriller book. I honestly think that's the best way to describe this book.

A murder in a small town, and a novel full of suspects and perspectives. It’s impossible to go into much more detail without spoilers, and I recommend going into this one pretty blind!

I read this as my book club’s January pick, and I really enjoyed it! I love an unreliable narrator trope, and His & Hers has that from every angle, with layered perspectives and near-constant reveals that keep you on your toes and make you unsure who to trust. I did suspect the final twist fairly early on, but the way the book unfolded had me constantly doubting myself such that it was still a nice surprise in the end. And while I never really liked any of the characters, this is the kind of novel where that’s okay (and maybe even preferable)—it’s a study of human nature, of dark behavior, and of the secrets we keep, even from ourselves.

Overall, this is a super fun and bingeable popcorn thriller, and I highly recommend it to fans of the genre!

Recommended to anyone, but especially if you like: unreliable narrators; multiple POVs; lots of twists

CW: Death/murder/violence/blood, including death of a child; sexual assault; suicidal thoughts/mentions of suicide; alcoholism/alcohol abuse; domestic abuse; animal cruelty
