Big wow. The BANTER in this book was everything. I’m also a big fan of enemies (rivals?) to lovers so this was right up my alley. Also the epilogue!? The plot twist!? Everything. However, the similarities to Hunger Games did bother me a bit because it felt like a been there, don’t that moment so lost a star from me there. Other than that, I loved Pae, Kai, and Kitt!

the writing was not great, the mmc was suuuuper cliche, and the storyline was predictable but MAN did I have a good ass time!

This book has been getting a lot of hype but it was essentially just a rip off of every other romantasy book that already exists - red queen meets from blood and ash meets the hunger games? Idk I didn’t really get on board until the plot thickened at about 58% and even then it was mostly just cliché and unimaginative. I’m giving it 3 stars because the ending was enticing. I’d probably read the next in the series just to see what happens.
