Good read

I gave this book 4 stars because I enjoyed most of the books I read. I really wish I would have known some were series that hadn't been continued yet and I wouldn't have read them. A few of the books were boring so I skipped around them and skipped over the ones that weren't my type.

In any compilation it's expected that there will be some stories more to an individuals taste and some not so much. The trick is to find the right set for you. This set has a wide variety of stories but they weren't always diverse. While there were some that I really enjoyed, such as I Found my Rhino by Erin Hayes, The Mismatcher by Ever Coming, Wolf Protector by Lila Felix & Bearing The Hunger by Dominique Eastwick, most of them bored me. By the time I was half way through I found I was skipping a lot as they all seemed just same-same.

This box set had a great series of books in it. Some of them hot and spicy! Wow I loved reading the different stories! I wish I didn't have to end but all good things most come to an end unfortunately! I recommend this if you want to read some short hot and spicy romance!

The Vampire, The Witch, & The Werewolf: The Luna Twins by Louisa Bacio was a really good story. I really liked Zada, Alex (The Hunter) and Charlie. This is a short but spicy read.

THE MISMATCHMAKER: RUBY by EverComing was really sweet I loved the way James lion shifter didn't care if Ruby wolf shifter was a latent or not just that she was the perfect mate for him.

Bear Faced Lies by Merryn Dexter was excellent I love Tobias and Harry. I was shocked with why she couldn't keep workers and the cause of her bad luck.

An Evening in the Superstitions by Kate Richards was part suspense and part spicy I just loved the characters Delia and Glenn also Warren and his mate Karma were so sweet

Shadows of the Wolf by Desiree Holt: Jordan & Stone were a great duo and just leapt into my head. There were times I would have liked a bit more info but a great read.

Masquerade by A.J. Bennett: Confused wife tries to get revenge on a supposedly cheating hubby but he has a much bigger secret he has been keeping. There's no real HEA though, just a reveal of the cause of Sara's worries. Ciffie!

Blood Sport by H.D. Gordon; Rook & Branson's story is very dark and depressing and It wasn't my favourite. It does end in a cliffie!

The Mismatchmaker by Ever Coming: Talk about a trail of disasters leading to a HEA! Ruby & James may not have got together in a conventional way but they are OMG cuteness!

The Untamed Lord of Thessaly by Rachael Slate: Petraeus is the latest Centaur brother to find his mate and he is not particularly happy about. She has him commiting treason, interfering in his brothers love lives and doubting his sanity! Ekho is duplicitous in her dealings with Petraeus but she has a kind heart and there is method to her madness. I loved how P goes from bachelor about town, to reluctant mate to protective father figure to confused male again!!! Brilliant series.

I really appreciated the variety in this anthology of shifter romance stories. You get some of the typical wolves and bears, but I loved being able to read stories about some species that don't often get attention, such as hyena, mongoose, rhino, and shark. Very cool! There were stories that were sweet, steamy, and dark and violent. Stories about straight couples, gay couples, and threesomes. Some followed more typical storylines, but some were very creative in characterization, setting, and plot. Some of the stories weren't really my style, but I think there's something here for anyone who enjoys paranormal romance.

Note that this is for an adult audience. There is violence, profanity, and many explicit sex scenes.

Also, some of the stories had quite a few typos or grammar and punctuation problems. However, I volunteered to review an advanced reader copy of this book, so those errors may be corrected in the final version.
