Well written and painstakingly researched but seemed more like it fulfilled a burning need to capture exactly what happened throughout the author's life, as opposed to a burning need to produce an excellent book. Could've been whittled down by about 30%.

This book promotes a very important message. I listened to the audiobook and I enjoyed the authors reading of the book greatly. It tells the story of her family but also of the injustices that people who have severe mental illness face. I think everyone should read/listen to this book.

Such a refreshing take on mental health. It was intimate and raw but still had accountability and a call to action. It was a little info dump-y in the first 1/2-3/4 but I was in it more for the content and not the style.
