DNF at 22% (page 133) … because this book is terrible. It is giving me nothing.

How this is currently my highest rated on my Goodreads tbr I will never understand because this book is appalling. How does this have over half a million ratings and an average rating of 4.3.

Are people seriously enjoying reading the same fantasy book again and again just different font

I can usually somewhat understand hyped books but I don’t get this one. AT ALL.

A usual ‘snarky’ FMC from the slums with a hidden power gets herself in a tricky situation where she loves to use violence and her bad mouth to get her further and further into a tricker situation and then omg fae appear. Ugh so many books start the same way and I’m bored of it, particularly when the author does nothing new but just relies on previously established worlds from other authors and tropes that they believe is enough to keep the readers from noticing the absolutely terrible writing and uninspiring plot….

Ugh I’m so over it ….

The romance sucked too.
