Was it my favorite? No. Would I read the sequel? Maybe. It was overhyped in my opinion, not nearly as good as I imagine. There were some good plot twist along the way, but I think there are some better romantasy reads out there.

It’s been a minute since I’ve read an epic, massive fantasy and this was a really good way to get back into it! It got slow in the middle and I had to drag myself through it a little, but man the last half of this book was so action-packed and high stakes and made my heart race. The spicy stuff is good too 🌶️

The magic system is similar to other Fae based fantasy series I’ve read, but the inclusion of vampires really sealed the deal for me. I have a soft spot for vampires (that don’t sparkle please and thanks) so anytime I can get my hands on vampire books I’m there. I know the market is over saturated with Fae and fated mates and shadow daddies, but this one is worth the read. I can’t wait for the sequel!
