I'll start this off by saying this book was insane and I FLOVED the hell out of it. It's extremely well written and a page turner. I stopped at 83% because it was 3am, and could hardly get to sleep because I could not stop thinking about Gianna and Draco!
The beginning starts off subtle, then BANG... things are moving. Crap hits the fan quickly, and it all gets very dark and sick from then on. I want to say so much more, but I don't want to spoil this book.
You meet plenty of characters that you hate. There are also a few that you're not too sure about. Trustworthy? Dishonest? Users? Who even knows at this point?
The next thing I will make note of is that this is a pretty dark read, and includes many things that people would consider "triggers." The romance is reluctant. In my personal opinion the naughty scenes are hot, and I mean.... FIRE, oh lord that first one!
Lastly this is a trilogy, which means this story is not the end. There isn't a cliffhanger, per say... the story just isn't over yet. That being said, gimmie gimmie book 2, I need it 3 minutes ago!

Firstly, I want to say how amazing this book cover actually is! It's breathtaking. Then I want to recommend this book, cause it just rocks!
The plot itself is dark (and I mean DARK), at places even I found it disturbing, but if you enjoy dark romance, then I definitely recommend it. The storytelling was engaging and since page 1 I couldn't put the book down.
The characters were nothing special but were nice to read. Gianna was a bit of a crybaby at the beginning, but really brave and good-hearted. Her independence and power were inspiring at the end, and her relationship with the prisoner was kinda cute.
Draco, oh my god, Draco. Like I hated his abusive ass at the beginning, I despised him, but he ended up being so much more than a cold-hearted killer. And believe me when I say this is the first time I hate the Hero in the book. What he did was fucked up, but I really enjoyed the.
The ending was pitch-black,, but it really makes you want to read the next books.

This was a quick read. I finished it in one night and had a great time doing so. This book had intense sexual scenes, so proceed with caution. It is a dark romance, so there are pretty dark intense scenes. I would check the trigger warnings before you read it, if you have intense triggers to things. I have really been liking dark romances lately, and this just fed into it. The darker and spicier the book the better. This was also my first mafia romance, and I am not disappointed. Draco, the main guy, was actually crazy. I haven't decided if I want to read the other 2 books or not but they do seem interesting.

Overall this was alright book,the first couple chapters had me very excited but after that it seemed to drag on a little bit for me. I felt most of the scenes were at dinners and it was kinda bored at those. It does end on somewhat of a cliffhanger but I don’t really have the urge to continue right now but I do want to read more books from this author.

from the summary i was expecting a dark mafia book, and from the first few pages i thought that was what i was getting.
it’s not at all that.
sure there’s elements of that deep in the background. ist mostly it’s a very over the top violent and graphically descriptions of rape, sexual violence, kidnapping and horrible mistreatment and torture (being literary urinated into the face for no other reason than to be crass is not what i signed up for!).
the writing wasn’t very great, it wasn’t horrible but not great.
and there was absolutely no character development at all.
there was no explanations or any realistic plot at any point in the story.
basically: if you want over the top graphic violence, torture and rape? unrealistic reactions to all of that and no development of any kind?
go for it.
