Mafia romance either is a hit or miss for me.. and let me tell you -- Passion & Venom was a smash! I love dark romance and this one was plenty dark.
I loved our heroine, she wasn't a pushover but was fiesty and stood up for herself knowing it wasn't necessarily the best choice.
Draco? I love a damaged possessive mafia man and he definitely delivered. I'm curious how much I'll like him while continuing the series.
Woohoo! 5 stars

Wow I did not like this book. Also not sure if I missed the TW section but was not prepared for that. I won’t be reading further but I hope she goes back for Ronaldo.

2.5 I didn’t like this book but at the same time I didn’t loathe it.
The characters are very flat and one dimensional. The FMC could be very bratty, annoying and stupid. The MMC is a fucking asshole who literally starved the heroine and treated her like shit. Not to mention he is supposed to be this alpha male but majority of the issues in this book come from his subordinates being disloyal and disgusting pigs.
After what the MMC did the FMC fell for him way to quickly and I honestly don’t know why she liked him at all.
I’m debating whether to pick the next one up but I don’t think the next one is any better based on reviews.

I am not used to reading books like this….. so for the first couple of pages I was a little thrown off. BUT…. Once I got past the first few days (chapters) I could not stop reading it!
It’s definitely a bit more intense, if you are not okay with intense sex scenes or assault, then is not the book for you.
Overall the book does a great job keeping you in, I now need to get the rest of the series!

A real page-turner. What made me rate this book 4.5 stars is the Heroine. I really like how tough Gianna is. Even though darkness and violence was portrayed in detail, it was still a good read. I hope that the author would make up for the lack of connection between Gianna and Draco in the next installment.
Passion & Venom is story about Gianna, a young-woman who is kidnapped on her wedding day after watching her husband gristly murdered and Jefe a.k.a Draco her master and king. Book 1 introduces us to Gianna's struggles as she comes to terms with her loss and fights fiercely for her survival by enduring punishments handed heavily by Jefe. Trigger Warning!!! This novel does contain some gruesome scenes such as
I love dark reads but some of the scenes I could have been Ok without. The heroine was strong as she faced her fears and tried to find her end game. The Hero Jefe who is the most feared Cartel King in Mexico & America is ruthless, protective, mean & mysterious. We catch glimpses of his personality but we don't really get the full picture. He's the villain in the story.
This book is not for the faint hearted. It's dark, raw, cruel and twisted novel. The writting style and pace were perfect.
