kind of… pointless to read? i mean it is definitely is an account of her life but she’s gone through nothing all that crazy and the advice she has to give is nothing revolutionary. the takeaways are that she was a disciplined model then became focused on being a good mom and wife… not much character growth. it was just a lackluster book. but i did love the part she wrote about her first dog!
A book that makes you reflect while also looking forward
I didn’t expect to take away so many quotes and insights from this book. I found a lot of similarities between myself and Gisele (from height and work ethic to some of our life philosophies) and I thoroughly enjoyed reading her thoughts about these things as I reflect on my life thus far and plan for my future.

Me emocionei muito no capítulo dedicado à cachorrinha Vida!
Super recomendo!

I picked up this book on a whim without reading the back cover and it was not what I was expecting, but in the best way. Rather than it being a memoir of the more glamorous parts of her life and her experiences, it is a glimpse into who she is and how she has navigated a complicated and extraordinary career and life while dealing with things that many of us can relate to. She mentions in the beginning of the book that she wanted to write about her real life and not the celebrity 'her', and she succeeds at that. This was a worthwhile read!
✅Self Help Book
Though-out this book Giselle shares her struggles and how she was able to over come them. I felt like I really got to know Gisele throughout this book, I was really able to relate to her. Expecially with how she grew up and wanting to become either a professional volleyball player or veterinarian.
When she started talking about how she tore her ACL and the mental frustrations with it, I was really able to connect with that because I’m currently undergoing ACL rehab right now and it definitely is one of the hardest mental things I’ve ever had to deal with. Giselle said being immobilized and not being able to exercise was really tough for her and made her a little low. It took patience, dedication and consistency to fully recover but today she’s appreciative to have her body back and feeling good. That give me a little bit of home and I’m really excited to be able to use my body like I should have been before. I think in the past I would take advantage of things I was able to do like run, and go to the gym and I wasn’t grateful at the time for my abilities, but now that I can’t do much I mss it. Now all I want to do is get back to my regular and make sure I’m incorporating all types of physical activity and focusing on mobility to prevent another injury. I think it really proves the point if you don’t use it, you lose it, and that we should treat our bodies with respect because its the only vessel were getting in this lifetime.

Little too preachy for me but good to get insight on her life outside of her career.
Gisele is someone is would be easy to hate, with all her beauty, money, and family life. I've always seen her as someone who is very intentional about the choices she makes in life and thoughtful about her beliefs and actions. Lessons was a quick read full of Gisele's guiding principles and life stories. I'm impressed with her hard work, optimism and dedication to her family. It was a quick and easy read, not too self-indulgent, and ultimately inspiring.
