This book of poems was recommended by my public library's podcast The Book Drop, and I read it for the 2022 book challenge "Read a Book by a Midwestern Author"

Poems that resonated with me:

-Newborn
-Intro to Communication
-Listening
-The Theology of Parenting
-13 Ways of Looking at a Baby
-Little Lamb, Who Made Thee?
-*Advanced Lessons in the Old Testament*
-The Happily Ever After

4.5, really! I didn’t expect a book about fatherhood to be something I could relate to entirely, and there were portions were I was correct in that sentiment. But there were also several places where, as a person who is a generally stressed being in this thing we call the world, definitively connected.

Also, loved the ode to Omaha!
