I did the tandem read with Empire of Storms. I definitely recommend the tandem because, even though I really like this book, it would have been harder to get through after the events of the previous book.

My favourite thing about this book was learning to forgive yourself and rid yourself of guilt.

My love grew stronger for Chaol.
Yrene was a blessing to this series I didn’t know I needed.

I didnt really care much about Nesryn & her story though. While it was interesting and going to the ruks and all her journey, I found myself just waiting to read about Chaol & Yrene

The plot twist of Maeve being a Valg queen was literally jaw dropping I didn’t see this one coming
