It was okay. I'm only rating it a four star because I like the series. It was really slow and a little boring. It was interesting in some parts, but the majority of them not. Chaol was also so unbearable and it took me so long to read this. I was thinking of how much I miss Rowan and Aelin.

Thoroughly loved this book. The characters grew in personal development in a non annoying way. The ending was fascinating. The love stories were so enjoyable. This was a perfect, world building addition to the TOG series
Finally finished the tandem read and although it was challenging at times toggling back and forth. I think it was worth it considering the each book was happening in the same timeline. Tower of Dawn started out a little slow for me and Chaol was a little exhausting in the beginning. However….The ending made up for it! All in all it’s a 5 star read!

3.5 ⭐️. At first I was dragging my feet reading this because Chaol is too broody for me. But I ended up liking Yrene, even if I wasn’t totally enthralled with the plot at every point in the book.
