Crap Taxidermy

It's exactly what it sounds like

Some of the pieces featured were slightly terrifying but overall it was very enjoyable to flip through this with my coworkers one afternoon, it made our day better and filled with laughter.

I like strange and slightly disturbing things...but this was just gross, and not amusing in the way that I had hoped.

Silly funny gift book

Strange

Definitely not my cup of tea, but I'm glad that it has made my daughter laugh. She wanted (and got) it for Christmas. I've collected two skeletons for her this year and both have said, "I love my little weirdo". Now if I can just deter her from trying the DIY taxidermy instructions at the end of the book.

This is disturbing to say the least. Some of them are hilarious but most of them just make me ashamed to be a human being :(

This is a quite short but quite entertaining look at some of the world's worst taxidermy. Here you'll find bears with googly eyes, flattened wolves, and as the cover depicts, an interesting fox. The author operates a Tumblr blog called "Crappy Taxidermy" and presents here about 50 or 75 pictures of various animals in unnatural poses. There is even a somewhat graphic lesson on how to preserve your own mouse. Fortunately it's at the end of the book so you can skip that part if you want. This was good for a few laughs; my only complaint was the book was so short! I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review from Blogging for Books.
funny informative lighthearted fast-paced

Silly but also surprisingly informative in the end, though I doubt I'll do any taxidermy-ing anytime soon myself. It's pretty short though!

What a strange and oddly funny book, never in my wildest dreams would have I thought there were awful taxidermists out running amok in the world. It definitely made my day a little bit funnier.
