This is one of Wonder Woman's defining stories, it's shows the compassion and determination that Wonder Woman embodies.

I am absolutely in love with Wonder Woman comics! Not just because it’s a strong female superhero, but because the stories that are created surrounding her, are so phenomenal. Greg Rucka does such a good job of capturing Wonder Woman’s character and her personal strength. She’s such a good character that is so passionate about what she believes.

One thing I really like is that we see her downfalls as well and her strengths. She’s incredibly stubborn when it comes to her beliefs, but that’s also a kind of weakness. She’s stubborn and doesn’t know when to admit she can’t do something. It’s not a major plot point in the story, but it’s significant enough to notice and make her relatable.

Ultimately, as I said earlier, it’s the story that really got me with this TPB. I loved the excitement and the emotion behind all of it and I couldn’t help but just be zoned into it! I’ve read this before, but I had no difficulty reliving all of it again. I’ve forgotten a few plot points of the next TPB so I’m excited to read that one too!

Went on a small Wonder Woman binge this weekend. I think this is the strongest of the Greg Rucka series so far. Waiting on 2 more from the library to find out how it ends....

I picked this up, hoping it was a continuation of the story started in [b:Wonder Woman By Greg Rucka Vol. 1|27405492|Wonder Woman By Greg Rucka Vol. 1|Greg Rucka|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1468240163s/27405492.jpg|47452848] and [b:Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka, Vol. 2|33252321|Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka, Vol. 2|Greg Rucka|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1499819115s/33252321.jpg|53971341], but it's just another version of Vol 2. Perhaps with fewer stories.

You can find my review of (basically) this book here

I hate that it's so difficult to track down specific series of comics within the larger body of work....

If I was of two minds on Wonder Woman before this collection, I am fully on board now that I've read this one. A pitch-perfect match of myth and superhero craziness combined with just some really cool...everything. I know I'm still relatively new to this comic thing overall, but this is really one of the best story arcs I've read in a comic series period so far. Great, great stuff.

I love Greg Rucka's Wonder Woman. I feel really grateful that his version was the one I read first, and of course my subsequent view of the character was heavily influenced by this. But it really feels like this is how Diana is supposed to be: fierce and strong and loving and willing to sacrifice everything to protect the innocents. This is a very powerful story and I love it.
