Hmmmm what did i think of this one?? I watched the movie a while back before reading this and i really liked the movie. Now after reading the book I'm kind of thinking that I may have to re watch it to see what was good about it. This is probably one of the first times that anyone has said that they prefer the movie over the book! I felt like Nicholas Sparks was just trying to hop on the band wagon of writing about asperger's syndrome. I also thought that he was trying to put too much sad stuff into one book and in doing that it made the book feel less real to me. I don't believe that that much bad stuff can happen to one person in a lifetime. I guess it was an ok book but I'm disappointed as I remember really enjoying the movie and almost crying at the end (I almost NEVER cry in sad movies or books so for me to almost cry is a big thing!)

This is (I think) the BEST Nicholas Sparks book. It's so sad and you feel so sorry for him.

NS took a slightly different path with this novel. It isn't the typical love story he usually writes. It doesn't have a happy ending, same with some of his other books. It wasn't entirely predictable, which is a plus... I think it'll be a great movie, and I'd see it.

Once again Nicholas Sparks has managed to make me cry. I loved this book! It was sad, romantic, and tragic. Gosh! The things that this book does to me! I just love it. I believe that is all that needs to be said. Totally. =D

It really wasn't too bad. Depressing, but I wouldn't say it effected me too deeply. I can see why so many of his books get made into movies, I sorta feel like I finished a movie and I'll probably forget a lot of it later.

Last summer, I had a wonderful two weeks with a man while he was on leave, and this will most likely be the greatest two weeks of my life. We tried a relationship but eventually broke it off, which is why a friend of my mother's reccomended this novel. I enjoyed the plot, but I was always expecting something more to happen. I give this 3 stars, and I am interested in seeing the film.

Loved this book. I fell in love, and broke my heart in the 7 hours it too to read.
