I looked forward to reading this collections of stories. They did not disappoint.

SAINTS AND SINNERS: This story was hard to put down. I liked seeing the dynamics in the various relationships. And I liked seeing the character growth.

THE CHRISTMAS ANGLE: I really enjoyed this story. Able Six was a fascinating character. I liked Meridee too, and I enjoyed seeing their relationship grow. And I liked the element of the story that the title refers to.
Rating: 4.5 stars

THE PERFECT CHRISTMAS: This story quickly drew me in. I felt like I had read a story that featured the same characters, just had different main characters. After doing a little looking, I'm pretty sure "The Happy Accident" from the Spring in Hyde Park Collection features the same characters.

Three really great regency stories! I was very pleasantly surprised with these three. I'd give them all five stars!
The first story is so sweet and romantic! I love stories where someone realized their childhood friend has grown up and become something special. It was cute!
The second story was very different from others I'd read. The lead male has perfect recall--which wasn't something common even back then. It's such an interesting story of how he became who he is and how perfectly suited for each other they are. Very romantic and interesting.
The third story is also very great. It follows another book by Jennifer Moore which was also in one of these anthologies. You'd not need to have read it, though. The lead female has suffered some serious trials in her life and has sometimes been considered to be mad. Getting to know her, though you see her differently. Her love interest bumbled about trying to do things perfectly and everything went wrong, but that turned out to be so much better. Great story, unique story-line and sweet characters.
So, all three were great and I'd recommend them highly.

Uneven Collection.

1 star for Josi Kilpack's story. Neville's behavior when Eloise wears a flattering dress appropriate to the times made my feminist self a little furious, and I really couldn't see what Eloise saw in him at all.
4 stars for Carla Kelly's story - well fleshed out characters and an enjoyable read.
2 stars for Jennifer Moore's story. Cute but just ok.

I’ve been reading several books like this lately and this was one of the best. The stories were really lovely, especially the last one.

Another lovely addition to the Timeless Regency Collection! These are always among my favorites because the shorter novellas (from some of my favorite authors) are easy to read in sitting, yet tell a well-developed story and have the sweet, happy endings that I love. In this collection, all three stories feature a Christmas spent in the country. Two of the stories have connections to stories by the same author in an earlier collection, and while they certainly work as stand-alone stories, it was fun to get a glimpse of some characters introduced earlier. I love how the stories are all so unique and yet tied together with a central theme. Wonderful!

Saints and Sinners by Josi S. Kilpack: I enjoyed this romance between Eloise and Neville, with a lifelong friendship and some misunderstandings that finally turned into the romance they both were wanting but didn't quite know how to go about pursuing. Each part of the story was entertaining and tied together well. I felt like I was right there at the ball, then Eloise's cold winter ride, Neville chasing down Mr. Burke, and the Christmas Eve dinner. Very well done! I loved this story!!!

The Christmas Angle by Carla Kelly: This was a very interesting story for me. It was well done and entertaining, though it didn't have the same degree of subtle humor that I've read in other Carla Kelly stories. It was a bit more serious and a slower pace, though I don't mean that made it boring, because it was very interesting with all the historical details. I thoroughly enjoyed the characters of Able and Meridee and their developing romance, as well as Able's history and abilities, along with Meridee's family and their interactions with the main characters. I definitely wondered at the title before I started reading this novella, but it was clever and worked into the story very well.

The Perfect Christmas by Jennifer Moore: Very well done, though I was left wondering if there was a prequel to this that I missed with more of Jane's history (and the other characters as well). However, I still really enjoyed the story and how it developed. I loved the snowball fight, the small twists the story took that Archie had to adjust to and change his way of thinking, and the coming together of everything for Christmas by the end.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this anthology. With 3 stories in it, the novellas were able to be a little longer with more time to develop the story and the characters and their relationships but still read each one at a fairly quick pace. A great book. I look forward to reading the rest of the anthologies in this series.

***I received a copy of this book from the publisher in exchange for my honest review.***

Finding this anthology was like a ray of sunshine after suffering through too many mediocre Regency romances. I may have also found a format that doesn't drive silly long drawn out misunderstandings that keep the couple apart just to make a book length story. These three stories are earnest, warm, and affecting. They fit their time and place which I find better than the stories where all the heroines have gone through the sexual revolution already. I plan to read each of these authors again.

I loved some stories more than others, but if it's historical fiction I'm on board. It was just what I was looking for!

This review is entirely based on The Christmas Angle by [a:Carla Kelly|36636|Carla Kelly|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1283446814p2/36636.jpg]. Merridee & Durable Six are the Queen & King of Regency Cinnamon Roll-Land. Exactly what I needed to inject some comfort & joy into a pandemic-stressed week.
