Wow, this was loud. There was a whole lot of action and fighting. It has plenty of excitement. So this story has been going on since 2005, so I came in on it toward the end and there is a lot of threads coming together here at the end and the pieces feel like I'm missing a little bit. Still, I did enjoy this and it makes me want to go back and read the whole thing. It's a huge volume with plenty of dense story telling.
Green lantern reminds me of Star Trek and all the very weird alien species you see on the show. There are some bizarre creatures in this world. All the power ring colors show up. The first lantern gets free, surprise and they all have to deal with it.
So much happens in this volume. There is a lot of story here. I do like the last chapter and the valiant song of Ode sung to Hal Jordan and his time as Green lantern. It works really well.
There is a half volume between this and Volume 2. I don't understand why you don't just put them out in order and not do these weird half volumes. It is so strange. Seriously. I have to go back and try and catch up on that.
If you are looking for a world building fantasy with superheros with dense characters and plots then this is the story for you. I will keep going with this.

Voy a escribir aquí la opinión porque sería un dolor de cabeza andar de volumen en volumen de cada serie que conforman el evento "The Rise Of The Third Army", por lo tanto mi opinión es solo de los número 13 al 16 de las series Green Lantern, Green Lantern Corps, Red Lanterns y New Guardians.
Aclarado eso, no me queda más que elogiar este evento que me tuvo al borde de mi asiento como por tres horas, creía yo que alguna de las series me iba a aburrir, pues la única que yo había seguí anterior a esto era la de Green Lantern, pero para mi sorpresa, todas me parecieron muy interesantes, tanto así que la verdad ni note la ausencia de Hall Jorndan en todos esos numeros, y es que todos los personajes son muy interesantes, desde Kyle hasta la Red Lantern con las alas de huesos, personajes con los que nunca antes había tendido un asentamiento pero que aquí me tenían echándole porras para que salvarán al universo.
Agradezco mucho como la historia se toma se tiempo para desarrollar todas las piezas, y también el magnífico trabajo para conectar todo, de verdad se siente como una historia cohesiva y lineal (Siempre y cuando se lea en orden correcto) a pesar de que están repartida en muchas series con montones de personajes.
Curiosamente, la serie principal de Green Lantern, fue la que menos interesante se me hizo, me agrado el nuevo linterna que se introduce, que tomara se metiera un en temas políticos y sociales, todo estuvo bien, pero C'mon, Kyle, John y Guy volaron por todo el universo peleando contra miles de criaturas!!! Hasta el líder de los Red Lanterns tuvo una historia que me pareció más interesante. Eso no quiere decir que no me gustara, solo que si hiciera un top, quedaría hasta abajo.
Pase como 3 horas feliz de la vida viendo páginas llenas de colores, con personajes que tratan de ser la mejor versión de si y con un cliffhanger que me dejó con ganas de seguir "Wrath of the first lantern", pero eso será para otro sábado.
