I liked this book a lot, I think I really just missed out on reading it in its prime. I think reading it as a 27 year old for the first time, I’m missing the nostalgia I have for other series like Harry Potter, which I read in second and third grade. But overall I really liked it!

I am finally setting and reading this!!!
For now, I am giving it 4 stars. I am pretty sure I will reread it one day in a better mood but definitely for now I like it a lot.

It's my first time reading a book by Rick Riordan. his writing made me actually imagine the scenes how they would play if they were turned into a movie! some parts reminded me of killing glass - no idea why!!!
one of my fav characters was Hades- he is the misunderstood bad guy but loved him the most I guess.

my complaint is that some parts were not that much interesting or they lost me when they added too many details.
one of the most unique things about the book is the chapter titles they are so good! > my fav is the first title.

about our Main Character is no one else other than Percy who appears to be still with a child's mind and thinking which is very great for us readers who normally deal with amazing MC! the mood in the book was set based on this he is a kid how else he is supposed to deal with whatever is going on so it's very new for me and funny!

Mr.D / he is just is just a Mood

I'm reading this for the first time as a twenty-one-year-old, so I think the way in which I'll read these books will be different than most people. With that being said, I proceeded to watch the first movie after reading this and realized how good the book actually was--because the plot of the movie sucked and was nothing like the book. Anyway... I think Percy is a great combo of sass and wit, and I appreciate that he doesn't immediately come across as the chosen one. Middle grade is something that I haven't read in a while, and it sometimes takes me out of the story when such cheesy or adolescent jokes are made. But like... I'm taking it all with a grain of salt, so we're all good.

Reread 4/21: I'm bumping this up to five-stars. I love Percy so much and would do anything for him. It was so nice to be back!
