The book did a good job continuing the wonder of the first book. I felt like some things could have been left out to make the story more concise, e.g., Nearly Headless Nick’s deathday party, as I don’t think they really added much to the story. The main story needed to get going and a few things sort of slowed the pace for me. The encounter and battle at the end was short lived in my opinion.

Harry and Ron are a comedic fucking duo, and I love them! I feel like there was even more humor in this one than the first, so I was really enjoying it. I relate to Ron so much, especially in this book, considering we both have the same fear of spiders. Which is brought up quite a bit in this story, but it wasn't mentioned in too much detail, so it was bearable! And don't even get me started on the setting. An old castle is a school with hidden passageways and chambers next to a creepy forest. I LOVE IT! Overall; I loved it and I'm really excited to continue on with the series!

p.s. Dobby was such a sweetie, and I just wanted to give him a big hug, but at the same time, he was a little shit.
