Childrens Early chapter book. After being disappointed and a little angry from reading the first book, I had to see if the series redeemed itself. Luckily this one was much more palatable. The teacher, Ms. Linda, found a magic lamp on her way to school. Each student is granted a wish by a djinn (not a genie! he insists). Even though the consequences of the wishes are similar in nature to the consequences of the lottery winnings, it felt more expected for the wishes to backfire. Students wished for a unicorn, a dinosaur, a lifetime supply of pizza, world peace, etc. Several students used their wish accidentally. This story is much more funny and less mean-spirited than the first one. This one I could see reading aloud to a class.
