this ripped!!! this was more than horror and unsettling tales (what i anticipated going into it) - each of the pieces in this book are thought-provoking, relevant, existential, tender, and unique in their own way. i really enjoyed all of these stories; “scars” and “reunion” were my favorites.
Truly enjoyed reading this collection of really bizarre stories. They range from stories set in a distant mythological past to something that could potentially happen in your everyday. Made me reflect quite a bit on bodily boundaries, disgust, and how we push things out (literally and figuratively) that we are disgusted by

This was such a thrilling collection of short stories with incredible variation in themes and topics from one to another. Scars was my favourite, as I loved the theme of freedom and humanity, but The Embodiment and Goodbye, My Love also stuck with me.

I just wasn't a fan of the writing. Maybe it's because it's a translation, but it just felt very "cold".
