This is a challenging review. I didn't care for or actively disliked all but two of the stories here. One I thought was okay, and the other was incredible. Though this book is ultimately on the balance not good to me I will still be checking out more by the author and would recommend it.

Ugh, this started off SO GOOD but the stories seemed to steadily decline throughout the book.
The Head – 5*, loved how weird and gross this was, gave me the vibe of having a disturbing nightmare
The Embodiment – 4.5* - same unsettling, surreal feeling, really enjoyed this. It was short and snappy
The Frozen Finger – 3.5* – A bit all-over-the-place but still gave the same unsettling feeling.
Snare – 3.5* - Very creepy and I loved the folk horror element, I felt the ending could’ve wrapped up better.
Goodbye, My Love – 3.5* not a new idea but well-written and solid
Scars – 2* found this very long, drawn-out and mostly meaningless.
Home Sweet Home – 3* this was interesting but also quite meandering. Overall a good story but nothing new or shocking.
Ruler of the Winds and Sands – 2* BORING and did not care.
Reunion – 3.5* - this feels like it was written in a bit of a fresher way and kept me interesting, although it wasn’t hugely shocking.
Overall – 3.5*, I wish the stories stayed as amazing as the first two! Some just felt like filler.
