I couldnt put this down!!

This book has some very dark and triggering themes. But i couldn't get enough of it.

The female mc is very different to other mc ive read about, her mind and thought process, how she views things and how she deals is so different and i loved getting to know her. She has been abused and mistreated so much in ber life and how she devolpers mentally and physically is really interesting. I really enjoyed her as a fmc. We got to see somewhat of who the male mc's are and see that they have a lot to them. The author has very intricate characters and i cant wait to see how they develope in the rest of the books.

TRIGGER WARNINGS FOR: violence, blood, sexual assault, rape, kidnapping, child abuse, captivity. And probably more that i cant remember at the minute.

Well the plot certainly sounded interesting in the blurb but this didn’t really go in the direct u thought it would.

First off… the single POV is a pain in the ass. This would have been SO much more enjoyable to get the guy’s POVs here and there bc i got tired of hers real quick.

The vagina talk? why? just why? I don’t know if the author decided to try to make Dell quirky by having her talk about her vagina to lighten up the mood or what… but whatever was trying to be achieved.. failed epically. It was almost sickening, the amount of times i’ve read the word “vagina”. It was such a turn off.

I did like Dell for the most part. Kinda. Sorta. Sometimes. But her character seemed so inconsistent it bugged me a bit.

I feel like i didn’t like this as much as i should’ve which sucks but i’m still gonna start the second book
