I live for a messy fake dating setup and this one absolutely delivers. Add in grifting, rich people drama, and the mom from hell? Say less, I was hooked.
Phoebe is the most funny chaotic disaster and I adore her. She’s fake dating a wealthy golden boy while secretly falling for her best friend’s older brother, Rocky, who by the way, is sweet, intense and 100% emotionally unavailable… In the most attractive way possible. And yes, it’s just as wild and wonderful as it sounds.
Their chemistry? Immaculate. Every stolen glance, every charged silence, I was internally screaming. The tension? Completely unhinged. The sneaking around? Chef’s kiss. The emotional damage? Honestly, I welcomed it.
This book is a whirlwind of messy emotions, terrible decisions, found family and the impossible task of trying to rewrite your life when the past refuses to let go. It’s addictive, angsty and unexpectedly tender, with characters who feel so real even when they’re pretending to be someone else.
It’s sharp. It’s soft. It’s a beautiful, complicated tangle of love, lies and longing. And honestly? I’d read another 300 pages of Phoebe and Rocky lying their way through love and life.
𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙙 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 : fake dating, forbidden romance, found family, morally grey characters, grifting/con artists, rich people drama, second chance at life.
Thank you to Krista & Becca Ritchie, Pan Macmillan & NetGalley for my e-ARC copy.

Destructively Mine by Krista Ritchie (Book 2 in the Webs We Weave series) is dropping on April 29, 2025 — and trust me, you’re gonna want to be ready for it.
If you’ve read Dishonestly Yours, then you already know we’re diving into some seriously messy family drama. This book takes things up a notch with mind games, deceit, and a whole lot of Robin Hood energy (think: steal from the rich, give to the… well, steal from the rich some more). And yes, there’s a love triangle—or maybe we should call it a deceit triangle because things get complicated.
It’s all about those “best intentions” leading people down really bad paths, and the tangled mess that follows. I’m not gonna lie, at times I struggled to keep track of who was telling the truth and who was spinning webs of lies. But it’s part of the fun, right? 🤷♀️
Quick heads up: You definitely need to read Dishonestly Yours first. This is a continuation, not a standalone, so you’ll want to get to know the characters before jumping into their new messes.
I know I’m not the only one who is LOVING this series. One reader said, “I think I loved Destructively Mine more than the first book!” and honestly, same. The twists, the turns, the tension... you’ll be hooked from the first page.
So, if you’re looking for a book that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat (and possibly questioning who’s on your side), grab this one when it comes out. I can’t wait to hear what you all think!

I WISH I could tell you all the things but I refuse cuz I want you to fall of these messy families as much as I have. All I will say is that in Destructively Yours, the secrets are bigger, the romance is hotter, the family ties are tighter, the rich people are more obnoxious (if you can believe it lol). Ugh. It’s so good. I’m sad that I’ll have to wait so long to get more answers.
Like I said, these characters weasel their way into your heart. I finished this book a week ago and still today I’m asking myself questions and trying to plot things out 🤣
Forever forehead kisses to both @berkleypub and @netgalley for letting me enjoy this one a little early. I cannot wait to grab a physical copy and annotate all my thoughts !
Gosh I love books about con artists LOL idk what that says about me idc 🤣

Thanks to @berkleypub and @berkleyromance for the free published copies and e-ARCs and to @prhaudio for the review copy of this audiobook!
These books are not stand alones. You need book one to understand book two. Since it’s really all one story, I’m just reviewing them together.
I’m a huge fan of the Oceans movies. Conmen who infiltrate the world of the uber wealthy just capture my imagination. But what if those conmen and women had been trained to grift since birth? What if they were family and friends working together. This is the world of Webs We Weave. Book one came out last year. Book two comes out next month. And I’m already impatiently waiting for book three!
Rocky and Phoebe have one of the most passionate relationships I’ve read in a long time. they live with so much control to accomplish their cons. But when that control snaps? Whew. Hot, hot, hot. I loved how their history is told in flashbacks. And the dual POV gives so much depth to the story.
I loved getting to know their siblings as well. The characters were all so unique. Even though it was a huge cast of characters, I never had a hard time keeping them straight.
As the plot unfolds and the characters learn more about their history and redefine their purpose, things get more complicated and the stakes get higher.
I appreciated the dual narration. The two narrators brought all the characters to life well.
I can’t wait for book three. I need to know how this story ends!

Thank you Berkley and Netgalley for the E-Arc!
Starting with the hard facts: You're either gonna enjoy this or feel like it was a miss.
If you're like me, you would find this to be enjoyable but only because you feel invested in the characters.
Unlike the first novel, you know Phoebe and Rocky's backstory. There's a couple flashback chapters but they don't add anything to the relationship and feels pretty filler.
This novel is more like a laid familiar back trip rather than an addicting and complex book. There's a little thrill of a heist but overall this felt like AU writing. The components that made book 1 enticing were absent, this was a very loose book. If you didn't like Rocky nor Phoebe, this book will not be enjoyable to you.
Those who are familiar with Krista and Becca's other works, this feels exactly like them.
I liked seeing more of Hailey. She's a unique character and I'm interested to learn more about her.
Based off the ending of the first book, you would think the parents had a bigger thrilling part but it fell short. The potential was there but the execution wasn't as effective.
This is a rounded up review because I thought that ending with Hailey was setting up an interesting plot. If not for that this would've landed in the solided 3.5 range.
Overall, I great book to pass the time with but not solid enough to be revolutionary.
