I really enjoyed part two of the series and I started to love Ash and Sera very much. I very much enjoyed those two finding their way to one another and I suffered with them every step of the way. Sera is so honest about being drawn to Ash and their relationship development is great. The romance and intimacy are just so enjoyable, captivating and exciting.

There was so much more content about the dragons and Reaver and Jadis are just the cutest.
SpoilerIt was fun to read how Jadis terrorizes Reaver. So much that he sits on top of a cupboard, hiding away from her. Those two are just adorable.

I thoroughly enjoyed every minute of Nektas. He’s just got this way about him that fascinates me. The words are always carefully chosen and without actually saying a lot out loud he has this positive influence on Sera softly nudging her in a positive direction without being controlling or judgmental. He’s more action rather than words but whenever he does choose to speak up it always meaningful and I found myself trying to read between the lines. There’s also something downright sexy about him. In one moment, he’s this powerful, mature and mesmerizing creature and in the next he’s just the most loving and caring father. Something about that just makes my ovaries wiggle. I’m sure I’m not the only one to feel that way about him.

I just love daddy Nyktos and Nektas! They are an awesome tag team. Just like Cas and Keiran but even better.

In this book we finally get to meet Kolis and oh boy are we in for a deeply twisted character. Those around him not being any better. Callum being way on top here. I so want to find out what drives him and wanting to find out why he’s so loyal to Kolis. There must be more to story that meets the eye.

The ending of the book was action packed and contained quite a few shocking scenes. It ends with a bang and a cliffhanger which has me eager to continue the story.

SpoilerIt took me quite some time to get over the fact that Ector is dead. I absolutely loathed that Sera couldn’t resurrect him.

This book took me a while to get into, part of it was because work was chaotic and the time and I was tired and didn’t have time to read, and the other part was because I didn’t remember what had happened at the very end of the last book! The action and the cliffhanger at the end has me excited for the next book, but I know I need to flip back to Cass and Poppy before I see what awaits Sera and Ash. I really enjoy these series!

I didn't think that I could love Sera and Nyktos anymore than I already did, but damn I am hyped after this book. I love the connections it made to the FBAA series and things are starting to make a lot more sense and I just feel like I am in the rhythm and grove right now.

I must have more, if only to avenge my loving Ector.

I was obsessed with this book and could not put it down. It wasn't the most well-written book but that did not stop me from binge-reading. Nyktos is such a good character and I really enjoyed all the twists and turns. When
Eckor died
, I gasped. The story had everything - morally-grey characters, world development; Draken, Cimmerian, Gods, Primals, Fates, Gods of Divination, Ascensions - the links to the From Blood and Ash series just really made the book un-put-downable. The FMC is somewhat annoying sometimes, because she just doesn't listen when there is a real threat but she is less annoying than Poppy from FBAA series. It still held my attention and I just loved the book despite this.

I do love the diversity of the characters - it really adds to the world development. Nektas, Nyktos, Saion, Eckor, Bele, Aios, Reaver and Jadis are just a handful of characters that I LOVE and can't wait to read more in the next book.

I do find some things in the story a little confusing - as there is a lot going on but this is my first 5* of 2025.
