I absolutely devoured this book. Almost every little detail was perfect for each character. The details were amazing. For those of you (like me that squick out over tentacles), may I suggest skipping Tryphon and his naked swim? If you love tentacles, that is the chapter for you! Excellent writing. I can’t wait for book three.

This was an improvement from the first book in the romance department, relationships finally form and take the next step and friendships within the harem get better. There’s also some fun monster lovin scenes with partially shifted monster forms or monster tendencies, I am so NOT a spider person but I really like that there’s F/F in this so I’m pretending she’s not a spider in my head lol. The Phoenix s3x scene was kind of funny, I liked how she handled that. Can’t really mess up tentacles and the Minotaur scene was interesting. The stuff with Cerberus gives me secondhand embarrassment but I feel like that was the authors intention and honestly it’s so realistic to dog parenting I don’t find it out of place like other reviewers have.
Yeah... it doesn't really hit the spot. Even the spicy scenes are a bit awkward to be fair. The characters don't feel like they have any depth

River is in too deep. She has become friends with the monsters and she wants to help Hades rescue his wife Persephone from Demeter. Now that she knows what she is, she can count on her father's support and she sets out to find Hephaestus to free her demons. I love how her harem keeps increasing.
Just as good as the first book, I can't wait to read how River's story will end.
