I bought this after meeting the author at a convention. I'm more interested in romance than mystery at the moment, but this was an easy and enjoyable read for me. I loved the world (although I admit, I was not clear on if the characters were humans with wings or actual birds, but they could ride bikes so I'm guessing the former; maybe I should have started with book 1) and the descriptions of the location. I especially liked how the different types of birds paired with jobs, like eagles being police and ducks being reporters.
