This series was so cheesy, I'm not sure why I read all three installments, but it was a short, easy ridiculous read to start off the year.

I remember picking up Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater a couple years ago and thinking, this is the best book I have read in an eternity. The story was different from anything I had read and I absolutely could not put it down. I fell in love with Grace and Sam immediately. Each of them were attempting to maneuver their way through different adversities. They each sought the other for support, helping cement their relationship. I adored watching their love mature and blossom. Their emotions poured from the pages, addicting me to their romance.

Then came Linger, where I fell head over heals in love with Cole St. Clair. He was egotistical, a complete ass, sizzling hot, sarcastic, and completely broken. When you pair him with Isabel Culpeper, who was the she-devil of Mercy Falls High, you get an explosive combination of emotions.

Forever, the last book in the trilogy (tears), is exceptional. It was everything I had hoped for and so much more. I am deeply saddened that I had to say goodbye to Sam, Grace, Isabel, Cole, and Olivia. Thankfully, they will live on my bookshelf so I can get a fix anytime I feel the need. I was mesmerized from the beginning of the series and completely awe-struck by the ending.

This final chapter of the story was beautifully written. I cried through the happy times, I cried through the sad times, and even gave in to nail biting during the intense times. I was satisfied with the ending; however, there are still many questions that I would like to have answered. I suppose I will have to be satisfied with my own creative answers.

Honestly, I do not remember a time that I have been truly upset to complete a series of books and feel like I have lost friends. Much thanks to Maggie for writing this excellent trilogy for us to fall in love with.

This was the final book in the Shiver trilogy, which followed Sam and Grace as they battled what kept their love apart: wolf transformations.

I have to say, I was extremely close to dropping this book. For the majority of probably 200 pages out of 390, I was unsatisfied and bored. It's the same thing over and over again, except now Grace is the wolf and not Sam. That's an original plot for you.

But the end really saved the book, in my case. I loved how everything wrapped up neatly. The only thing that left me unsatisfied in the end was Cole & Isabel's relationship. I loved this couple, but I wasn't even sure where they stood in their final chapter. It definitely left me with some questions.

Sam and Grace are still my primary couple that came out of this book. I am still not a Grace fan, she comes off as unapproachable and robotic to me, but I can't help loving Sam. Even if he is very sappy.

All in all, try the series. You won't be disappointed with the end.

i mostly read this in between naps whilst watching at the hospital and maybe i 'really liked it' because i knew there was going to be a follow-up novel about cole and isabel. and i loved sam and grace here even more than i did in shiver (i disliked linger).

i loved this series overall. i was a little disappointed by the middle of the book because i thought it lagged a little, but i still enjoyed this book. i also loved maggies writing. i think the maggie ended the series well.

Še enkrat sem s to knjigo doživela konec obdobja. In kakšno obdobje je to bilo!

"Colova religija je zavračanje nemogočega" ... "Povedal ti bom zgodbo o nastanku sveta. Na začetku časa sta bila ocean in praznina in Bog je spremenil ocean v svet in praznino v Colea."

Did I read it in two days flat? Why, yes, I did.

Do I kind of wish I had stopped reading this series after SHIVER, since the series kind of went downhill after SHIVER? Why, yes, I do.

Do I think the ending of SHIVER was more satisfying than the end to the trilogy? Why, yes, I do.

Also, I think it broke my enthusiasm for series/trilogies, unfortch. This was one of the few series I cared enough about to wait anxiously until the next book was published, but I think I've lost that loving feeling, if you get me.
