This world just keeps getting bigger and bigger and I love it. I loved seeing Mische accept her past and learn to accept what she is in throughout these two books. I obviously loved seeing Rhain and Oraya off and on in this book but I really liked how this story was completely separate from them. This book was full of yearning and unbeatable odds and I loved it.

A little slow to start, but I was hooked once I got about a quarter of a way into the book. I loved seeing characters from all the other books in the saga come together here! One of my favorite books in the series.

Carissa has done it again! A beautifully crafted love story weaves through the backdrop of the Obitrea's impending doom. It was an amazing conclusion to Mische & Asars story while setting up the world for an epic finale in the upcoming Bloodborn Duet. Next August cannot come soon enough!

I really enjoyed this book, but I do think it’s the weakest in the series so far. The plot felt very choppy - like too many big problems were randomly thrown in and too easily overcome. But I still love the characters and I’m very excited for the next books, and learning more about Septimus.

This was some of the most beautiful writing I’ve ever read. This type of story isn’t really for me - I don’t love stories about wrathful gods, but it was so well done.
