I don't see myself ever getting sick of Carissa Broadbent's story telling.

This book was an emotional journey. Mische & Asar's story is beautiful and tragic and so many emotions in between.
I've loved seeing their character evolutions.
Something about this book just felt more poetic and emotionally driven than the others. Perhaps because Asar is so studious (is that the right word haha) and Mische is so human (definitely the right word).

I can't wait to read books 5 & 6! I'm ready to see how CB wraps up this world's story. But also I'm dreading it being over.

Slight spoiler, perhaps, regarding reading order.:
There are plenty of cameos in this book. If you haven't read the novellas since around book 2, I would recommend reading them again before jumping into "Fallen". I haven't read them in over a year personally and I found myself trying to remember Vale/Lilith & Atrius/Sylina's stories. This doesn't have anything to do with Carissa's storytelling. If you haven't read them, you will be fine. I just have read those stories so I felt like I was missing Easter eggs. Characters from the first duology do pop up in this book as well, and I don't just mean Oraya & Raihn.

How am I supposed to leave a review for this book? The world-building is SO expansive and captivating, the story is heart-wrenching and exciting and every last character has such depth and agency. I would rip out my heart for Asar and Mische (and Luce). These books are ruining my life in the best possible way, and I will continue to drop everything I'm doing to read whatever Carissa Broadbent writes. UGH.

Well written, love the characters, love Asar’s POV, love the cameos, I think it would’ve hit harder if I read it in one sitting but overall still enjoyed the action, twists, emotion and characters
