Title is accurate, unfortunately. I was hoping that the title was a joke and the book would be great; however, that was not the case.

It certainly lives up to its title. As the side characters point out, there are spelling mistakes, a helpless damsel in distress, poor illustrations, a plot that goes nowhere for pages on end, a lack of diversity, pointless dialogue, long words used for the sake of sounding intelligent, and more.
I could envision using this to teach kids about editing writing: don't just say it's bad, but come up with specific critiques. Then I could ask the kids to use the side characters' critiques to create their own, improved, version of the story.
