This collection should be issued to the intense kind of person I was in my late teens and early twenties on first falling in love. I love it, and I only wish I’d read it earlier.

Beautiful poetry and fun to read en español as well as English..
Neruda can evoke such strong emotions and imagery. The format of this book - English on one side, Spanish on the other - is great for those who know both languages.
The first half was a slog to get through, but I enjoyed the second half much better. With that said, this is my first foray into poetry in a long time, and I can't say that it has converted me. Maybe romantic poetry is just not the genre for me.
Really overrated. Hate the objectification of his lover. Uninspired wordplay. Please stop saying breasts @men !!!!!
