What a wonderful reimagining of Grecian mythology!

Hades and Persephone are absolute gems in this, and this story is definitely one of my favourite reimagining of them.
There is casual queer representation in this story, and both Hades and Persephone are trans. This isn't a huge plot point, and I liked how the conversations surrounding the topic were handled.
I feel that the author has done very well in balancing the relationship development  between Hades and Persephone and the tensions between Hades and Zeus and the underbelly of this fictional world.
While there's some very mild angst and a smidge of dark undertones, I would say that overall, the story is a light read.

Only 2 stars because there was too much sex for my taste after the first third of the book. The rest of the book, however, I loved.  This spin on the Greek gods and the world that was described in this book are amazing - this mix of city rulers/mafia family. I loved the characters and their relationships with each other.

I’ll be coming back to this eventually but I just can’t pick up my kindle and read. My brain is not allowing it and I don’t want to force myself to finish this when I know that when I’m in the mood for it, I will devour it

One of those retellings that are like, "Hades empowering, Demeter bad!" Had fun reading this one though.
