Pretty much an ordinary run of the mill romance. Nothing spectacular

This is the third book in the series and while the relationship arc stands alone - there’s people & events from previous books that are referenced so these are best listened to in order.

I’ve liked Liv’s character since the first book. In addition to being a faithful friend and a bit cheeky, she’s also been unabashed in her love and enjoyment of sex. It was refreshing to have an author not slut shame…. Except Marc has the same history and everyone in the book kind of knocks him for it.

Liv’s last boyfriend cheated on her and she’s simultaneously wary of men and determined she’s ready to settle down and get married. Marc wants Liv and realizes that with her, he wants the same.

For the most part, I liked these two together. Liv continually making a big deal out of a six year age difference (35 & 29) was tedious. The “3rd act breakup” was overblown and drawn out. Yet, there’s just something about most of these books that makes listening to them so easy.

Narration:
I enjoyed Aletha George’s narration again. She has done a good job of giving all the characters unique voices and keeping them consistent between the books. So it’s easy to binge these.

Got to say i wasnt a fan of Marc been a player even with him being an honest player.
i love how Liz has this strong and capeable persona but deep down she just wanted Marc to see her and fall madley in love.

again, a plot that last over a year or so, characters that have a real background and story together.

I don't remember which brother says it's a bit "keep it in the family" that's the case but it not tacky. it is dealt really well.

but me still thinking they're a bit over bearing... :/

WOO HOO! This broke the mold! No crazy ex lovers/husbands, no lives in danger, no stalking, no Christmas proposal. I can't even remember someone being told they kept their light under a bushel! I did get a wee bit weary of Liv's constant ridiculousness, but overall it was another great Chase book and a deviation from the first two in all the right ways!

I didn't enjoy this one as much as the previous two. I still really enjoyed it though.

Thanks to the publisher for a copy to read and give my honest opinion.

The author is rereleasing these titles, and they are swoon worthy! Love this series, and covers...but the blurbs are what caught my eye.
Marc Chase is the youngest of the four Chase brothers in this fun and smexy series. Once a Chase brother falls.... its HEA all the way.
Olivia already had a relationship with the older Chase brother, and it didn't work out. A broken heart and other bad luck men bring her full circle to refuse the younger Chase brother. He's a flirt and a man whore.
I loved this one... Marc is a flirt but it really makes a difference when he turns on the charm when it comes to wooing Liv. Four hot stars of entertainment! This is a great and fun loving series!

This is my favourite of the four stories in the Chase Brothers series and along with Giving Chase is the one I've reread the most. As I just love Liv and Marc and their journey to a happy ever after. Which is not easy going, in fact, it's feisty, fun, a little angsty, entertaining, sweet and seriously hot. And really worth reading.
