Coffee Shop Girl (Coffee Shop Series #1) by Katie Cross

This is a cute, sometimes funny, sometimes sad, sometimes deep story about more than the romance. In over her head with both her hand me down coffee shop and her debt, Bethany is on the verge of losing everything, until Maverick steps in just in the nick of time. Both have things from their past that they are either running from, or trying to hold onto for dear life. Both have a little bit of vulnerability, though Maverick hides his better. While there are some heavier undertones in the story, and some sensitive subject matters at play, there is a lightness about the book. The characters are well written and well developed. There are some sorta secret thoughts/feelings that are revealed near the end. It is a clean read with only kissing involved and no strong language making it safe for teens and up, though there is talk of abuse and one scene with a small amount of violence.

Sweet and cozy

Loved how charming this book was. I loved how Bethany grew into herself. Can't wait to read more from this series and this author

Loved it!

What a read! So well written, deep, engaging, heart wrenching and happy all rolled into one. I can’t wait for the rest of the books in this series.

Love. Hardships. Family. All the above was faced. It was a cute hallmark/Nicholas sparks feel. But faced reality and truth. Raw and in depth. The characters I really connected too. Really enjoyed over all. ❤

Mav and Bethie 4ever!

I'm so happy I've finished this because I was bored. There was pretty much no exciting part throughout this. Ellie was suppose to be 11 yet she was acting grown?? Didn't quite understand that.

Wasn't a bit of me.
