After watching the show, featuring Arden Cho, I decided to pick up the book. It's out of my normal genre so it was a bit slower for me to get through but picturing Arden made it even better.

I jumped to read this book after watching the whole season of "The Partner Track" on Netflix in just a few days.

Full review to come.

3.5 Stars, rounded up to 4 Stars.

I really enjoyed the character coming into her own and disowning the law firm structure that values her work but not her individual/cultural identity. A very satisfying read with good character development.

The audiobook was excellent. This novel felt on point re the big law experience. Also, I haven’t seen the Netflix series based on the book but the two look different based on the Netflix trailer.

This was VERY different to the Netflix show! Enjoyed the critique of the racism and sexism within the legal profession and Ingrid having her happier ending.
