Ein Buch für alle Menschen. Tolle Wissensvermittlung, abwechslungsreich illustriert und mit sehr interessanten Geschichten. Liv Strömquist hat gut recherchiert, zusammengefasst und visualisiert. Ich kenne mich ganz gut mit dem Thema aus und konnte noch neues erfahren. Daher : unbedingt lesen - Vorwissen egal

It is incredibly sad that the existence of a book that depicts men who were just too much into in what is called female genitalia makes so much sense. And if there's one thing this book makes perfectly is this: it makes sense. Reading it was liberating.
The delivery of everything that is presented here was spot-on. The research behind it was beautifully done. I expected to see up to certain extend the role religion played in the indoctrination of the female body, but how would I imagine that the same dude who created one of the most famous cornflakes in the world was also advocating that acid should be applied to women's genitalia for the sake of their own mental health? Dude, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!
As a woman and as a teacher I truly believe we should be talking much more about this.
It really wish I could have read books like this one while I was growning up, as a teenager, as a person who had just started having periods; but the fact that younger generations get to have access to books like this makes me a little bit more hopeful.
