While this book is probably very unrealistic, with the FMC quitting her job and enrolling in law school based on the advice from a magic 8 ball, I still really enjoyed this read. The FMC, Simone, decides to move across the country from California to Michigan after realizing how unhappy she is in what was supposed to be her dream job (or the job that would help her get her dream job one day). Upon moving to Michigan, Simone meets a great cast of characters, including the smart and swoon-worthy Silas.
Simone was an interesting main character since she was not the most intelligent person in the class and often acted out of anger. This created a lot of room for her to grow throughout the book due to the people and situations she encounters throughout. From Silas to mean professors, Simone becomes less problematic and compulsive by the end of the book.
I recommend this book to anyone looking for a closed-door, small-town romance. This is a great debut novel and I look forward to other books by Kristen Alicia.

Cutesy, closed door romance… but I didn’t like the characters and the ending was unsatisfying.

This book was such a cute, sweet and easy read. I really enjoyed the story and the characters were very easy to love.

You've Been Served was such a cute closed door romance. I love how this one started and thought the premise was different and fun. I really enjoyed seeing Simone decide she was ready for a change and actually make that happen. The friend group in this one was fun, and I really liked Silas as the MMC. i liked Simone as the FMC, but she won't go down as my favorite FMC ever. I liked the relationship between the FMC's; I thought that they had fun banter, and I could see how they were attracted to each other, I don't know if I saw love in that amount of time, but I also can't remember if they actually said the words either. There were some other things that threw me off but ultimately it was a good time and I will look into this author in the future.

I got 18% in and just wasn't enjoying this. The writing, the plot, etc. I have so many books checked out on Libby I don't have time for lackluster.

This was a cute book. I enjoyed the storyline. The characters were all well done. I just wish it was either a little longer or maybe there’s a sequel. I’d like to know what happens to them all.

This book was really cute and funny.
Silas was adorable, and Simone was a very relatable character. I found out the author is an attorney so it was fun to read about the law without it being too overwhelming or confusing.
While Simone wasn't perfect, I loved how self-aware she was and how her friends called her on her shit when it was necessary.
