I was really conflicted over what to rate this book. It wasn't poorly written and it was likable but I had some issues. I felt like it was a typical second chance romance mixed with road trip romance. I think that if you are going to venture into one of those categories of the romance genre then you have to try something new and fresh to put a new spin on it. Unfortunately, there were no new strides made over the course of this book. It felt like it was the same old thing. Heroine knows hero when they are young, something happens between them, miscommunications happen, and then they both end up being prickly. Six years pass after these events that took place and now they are forced together in order to travel to Renee's wedding. I didn't have any huge problems with the story apart from lack of originality and the unbelievable nature of the feelings between Tristan and Samantha. They shared one moment together six years ago and they are still pining for each other in present day. I just don't know if I am able to buy that. Maybe if it was established that they each had feelings before the moment happened or that they kept in touch over the six years that they were separated it could have improved the book but I'm not sure.

The Boy I Hate....Where do I even start. Honestly this book surprised me, in a good way, that is. This book popped my Taylor Sullivan cherry, and boy am I happy about it.Taylor....Taylor Sullivan, why did you do this to me? Now, I have to read more of your books. I found her writing style to be unique, it drew me in. I found myself wanting more of Tristan and Samantha. This book is just steamy enough, I mean...who can be mad about a good steamy, sexy scene. The whole I hate you but I love you thing with Tristan and Sam, I found myself screammmming, internally (of course), like get it over with already, your killing me here. The journey was worth the roller coaster of feelings I had through this book.

It was the usual haters to lovers romance... cute, sexy and all BUT the characters were really well built. I listened to it on audio and to be honest I didn't expect to like this book. I really appreciated the backstory of Tristan at the end.

I absolutely adored this book. I loved all the raw emotion and the characters questioning everything in their lives. I loved how they came together, & how their feelings blossomed for each other, and the flashbacks of the past along with what was happening present day.
I give this read 4 ⭐ out of 5 ⭐. Because it was a nice, delicious read, filled with tension, and vulnerabilities, that I loved and adored. And I would definitely recommend this read.

Oh I didn’t like this at all. I don’t know who Samantha tries to convince she hasn’t had the hots for her BFF’s brother since the dawn of time but it was very annoying.
Hmmmmm..... the writer definitely writes a lot on describing how Tristan's appearance is THAT sexy boy, with abs, the bad boy that everyone falls in love with but...I don't know. The book definitely revolves around Tristan and Sam and.. yeah. It's and okay book. I liked it but just not to the point that I'd fall in love with it. It was a good read.

i really enjoyed this book. i loved how samantha and tristan developed into a lovely relationship. the reason that i didnt give this book 5 out of 5 stars was because there is some content in here that i didn't know was in here, so when the reader got to that part in the audio book, it was surprising and i was in school when some explicit content came on. other than those things, i loved everything else about this book.
