Enjoyed this one even more than the first book. You get a lot more of Crier, and I just adore her. It was interesting seeing the wider world than Crier’s War let us see, and I found all of the side characters interesting.

would've rated it 5 stars if this entire book was just that one letter

this book was the shit ngl. between the first and second book i took a big ass break for multiple reasons but i finally got to it and it definitely didnt disappoint. I read all of it during a road trip so it was a very interesting experience. i really liked the plot of the book just loved where it was going all the time which is great. the whole idea, in some way, is thought of all the time in the real world but what makes it different from the real world is the fantasy element. its definitely something im interested in and that's why i had a good time reading it. this book ate 🗡🩸🤖

love crier and ayla so so much!!
BUT the timing of this book played with me- felt very slow and then way too fast at the end but still a good read
